Can you say beautiful? HAVASUPAI!

First we gathered a bunch of friends together who wish to go on an adventure.

Then we drove from Salt Lake, through Vegas, crossed over the Colorado River, turned East and drove another 3 hours following the Colorado river to arrive at the Hilltop parking lot.

We donned our back packs and posed for a picture overlooking the chasm we are going to drop into.

Jamie and Adam

Shauna and Candace
Karina and Therron                          Froggie and Bullfrog, (Annette and Gary aka Mom and Dad) had already headed down the trail and missed the before picture.
Mike had to make a quick stop before starting out.  These were nasty out houses!  Mike and Barry started about and hour or so behind us, but quickly caught up!
Down the cliff and into the desert for a 10 mile hike!
We are ready, we have water and sunscreen!
There is a trail going down the side of this cliff to get to the trail at the bottom....
than head into a canyon, where God created a unique, delicate yet majestic beauty in the desert.  Our destination, Havasupai, a collection of waterfalls.
Come along on a picture tour.
In the beginning, the switchbacks... this was also the end when we came back out.
just keep walking...
walking, walking...
mule team coming down carrying tribe supplies and hikers back packs
 beautiful, beautiful
Are we there yet?  This was a little farther than half way, we think.
These are the smoke stacks for the hidden village of Indians tucked securely away in the depths of the rock. :)
Yea, we made it to camp. Food, take off my pack and hiking shoes, I have Happy feet!
 Waiting for water to boil!
A look at Mooney Falls from the top of the cliff.
We want to go to the bottom of Mooney Falls, or do we?
Entering the unknown.
 Going down...Thank goodness for chains!
Yep, that is the way down and the way back up.
 Mooney Falls from the bottom
There were caves behind these falls that we swam through the falls to get in to!
 The Frog's and I
Havasu Falls
Playing and jumping off of Rock Falls
 New Navajo Falls!
We had such a good time! in a beautiful part of the world!
