Thanksgiving a little early

We have had our teepee up for about a month now! We slept in the teepee the weekend it snowed and again this last weekend. It stays nice and warm in there. Kevin or Adam do get up during the night and add a little more wood to the fire, just to make sure that we stay toasty.

We decided to cook some turkey breast's in the dutch oven Sunday night and have a combined birthday party for the birthdays Aug-Nov. A prelude to Thanksgiving dinner. It was really delicious!
Early Thankful fors:
1. Beautiful fall weather that lets us stay outdoors a little longer.
2. Turkey in my refrigerator. I don't know why we don't eat more turkey. It is soooooo good! Especially when cooked outside, in the dutch oven. It is moist eaten, the smell of campfire blending with the smell of turkey and there is plenty of food to go around.
3. Family who is willing to eat in our teepee and enjoy each others company, around the campfire, making memories, singing songs, (not really). Rodney does play the guitar and Josh the electric guitar, but they didn't bring them. Maybe next time. Rob plays the kazoo, but he was in Chicago and we haven't found out what instrument Adam plays?????????? However he can make Jamie sing with his tickle fingers....
4. Food on our tables, clothes in our closets, gas in our tanks, electricity, hay for the horses, work to go to, family to lean on, friends to call, puppies to pet, cats to eat mice, birds in the air to make music, and God to pray to.

God bless you all this Thanksgiving season!

Well it looks like you guys have been having a blast. I wish we could have been there to enjoy the teepee, the family and the food. Maybe next time we're in town, and we'll bring the kazoo. :-)

Love you!
